History of TELOS

The idea for TELOS began as an observation made by Dr. Rand Michael while he was on a trip to the Middle East in 1986. He became aware of the great need missionaries , expatriots, and locals have for being encouraged, empowered, and equipped, both spiritually and psychologically. He noticed that in many global settings there is a lack of quality wholistic resources, especially from a Christian perspective. Even in the United States, while these resources are more readily available, they are often financially out of reach for many.

TELOS recognizes these needs and responds wherever there is an open door. TELOS partners with churches, parachurch ministries, community organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to provide direct counseling and educational services and to train others in care giving skills. Co-Founders, Dr. Rand and Dr. Phyllis Michael's vision has grown into an organization of many, including supporters like you, clinical associates, pastors, and partners around the world. TELOS has developed a proven track record of ministering in a wide variety of world areas with tremendous effectiveness.
